How APR protects accuracy and independence
These standards apply to reviews, comparisons, buying guides, deal coverage and supporting content across the APR website and social channels.
Reader-first decisions
Content should answer a genuine buying or usage question. Commercial opportunity alone is not sufficient reason to recommend a product. We aim to explain who a product suits, who should avoid it, its strongest alternatives and the evidence behind the conclusion.
Sources and attribution
We prioritise official documentation for specifications and policies, then use independent testing, customer feedback, demonstrations and communities for context. Material claims should be traceable to a source and dated where change is likely.
Facts, inference and opinion
Vendor claims, independently verified facts, hands-on observations, reasoned inferences and editorial opinions must not be presented as the same thing. Uncertainty, conflicting evidence and testing limitations should be stated clearly.
Affiliate and sponsored relationships
Affiliate commission, free access, product samples or sponsorship must be disclosed where relevant. A relationship does not permit a merchant to purchase a positive conclusion or suppress legitimate criticism. Sponsored content must be distinguishable from independent editorial work.
AI use
AI tools may assist with organisation, drafts, translation, summaries or media production. They must not fabricate testing, sources, quotations, customer experiences or product capabilities. Important output requires human review and source verification.
Corrections and significant updates
Factual errors should be corrected promptly. A visible correction note may be added when an error materially affected the reader’s decision. Routine wording or formatting changes do not require a correction notice.
Reviews from readers
APR must not create, buy or publish fake testimonials. Incentivised or materially connected endorsements require clear disclosure. Abusive, irrelevant or deceptive submissions may be removed.
